Terms & conditions

HowMuch is owned and operated by Kiarrica Labs ("we", "us"). These terms apply to everyone who creates an account, buys a membership or an advertising spot, or otherwise uses the service. By using HowMuch you agree to them.

Who you are buying from

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. Paddle's terms apply to the payment itself; these terms apply to your use of HowMuch.

Your account

• You must give accurate details and keep your login secure.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Accounts are for one business; do not share logins across businesses.

Memberships and billing

• Memberships (Silver, Gold, Platinum) are billed monthly in advance until cancelled.
• Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata.
• Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the month you have already paid for; you keep your current features until then.
• Advertising spots are billed monthly and run until you cancel. Prices are shown before you pay.
• If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until the card is updated.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law, or use the service to defraud or mislead your own customers;
• upload malware, or content you do not have the right to use;
• post abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, discriminatory or harassing content, including in directory listings, reviews and adverts;
• scrape, resell, reverse engineer or copy the service, or attempt to bypass usage limits, access controls or security;
• send spam or unsolicited messages through the quote or messaging features.

Prices and estimates

HowMuch produces price estimates from market data, your own rates and the job details you enter. Estimates are guidance only. You decide what you charge, and you are responsible for the quotes, terms and prices you send to your customers.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload — quotes, photos, customer details and listing content. You give us permission to store and display it so we can run the service (for example showing your listing in the directory or your quote to your customer).

Intellectual property

HowMuch, its software, design, content and data belong to Kiarrica Labs. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing. Nothing here transfers ownership to you.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. You can close your account at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
